Character Profiles

This is your space to tell people everything they might publicly know about your character. Feel free to include well-known facts about their personality and appearance, but please avoid any information that might lead to meta. Also include a picture if you like. Check out the Jimmy Scallywag profile as an example.

Jimmy Scallywag

Who, me? I’m just a legitimate businessman! scallywag.jpg

Jimmy is a good-looking man in is early 40s. He stands about 5’10” and has an irresistible charm about him. Jimmy is a well-known businessman in Eridan, where he has run his own import/export company for many years. While on several occasions, Denshian and Aurelian leaders have mistakenly accused Jimmy of smuggling, he has never served any jailtime, so I think we can safely say he’s an upstanding citizen. Jimmy does not own a home, instead he prefers to live off of his boat, The Legitimate Businessman.

Citizens of Denshy

This section is for those who are citizens of Denshy, there is no difference for sectioning of noble or commoner here, but the individual character descriptions can mention their positions.

Saeros Tharkil

saeros.jpg

Jack Townsend: Saeros, don’t take this the wrong way, but there are only two people who put the fear of god into me - my mother and you...

Commander Saeros Tharkil is an old man in his mid-to-late 60s, almost always in guard attire. His fiery scimitar, Sh’tal, is well known around Eridan for its ability to set combatants ablaze. He is about 5’9” and has a twinkle in his eye when he talks. Denshian historians would know that Saeros was commissioned directly by King Vorlorn in the year 513 to assist his son, Prince Faris in starting the new colony of Denshy. After Faris’ disappearance, Saeros led many search parties with no success. After the citizens of Denshy realized that Prince Faris was not coming back, they made Saeros the Man-At-Arms of Denshy under Governor Aurick Dunn.

As the years passed by, Saeros remained Commander of the Guard, while the town’s leaders came and went, including Governor Dante Celano, Governor Troy Locke, Duke Alric Rahl, Duke Sol Rahl, Governor Zachary Summerset, Lord Maarken Calador, and Steward Seldorn Tovierna.

After the Dark Year and Denshy broke ties with Mercia and changed its name to The Free City of Denshy, Captain Roland of the Guard took control of the military from Saeros and used it to install martial law in Denshy. In 539, Roland was assassinated and the District leaders of Denshy voted to have Saeros as Interim Ruler of the city until peace between the districts could be found. After several months of conflict New Zeal was banished from Denshy and Reinhart Tradnor was named Duke of Denshy, and Saeros returned to his post of Commander of the Guard. Again the years went on but Saeros remained Commmander, despite the constant change in leadership, including “Queen” Jazani Tradnor, Lady Regent Arianna Guinan-Locke, Lord Protector Ddaeryko, Duke Eidan Achton, Lady Ilonka Thorne, and Duke James Darkel. While he is semi-retired these days, he still retains the title of Commander of the Guard.

Saeros has the type of personality which causes strangers to instantly trust and like him. He is well known for being able to negotiate with and walk freely amongst some of the most dangerous factions in Eridan, including Orks, Noctii, Necromancers, New Zeal, and Krosswind. Well-informed historians might know that many of past leaders have entrusted Saeros with coordinating the city’s covert operations, leading him to become feared amongst many of the city’s criminals.

Scholars of Mercian history might also know that Saeros was, long ago, the Vice Admiral of the Royal Navy. Due to his longstanding love of the sea, Saeros spends a good portion of his time on his boat, choosing to live to live off of it instead of a house on dry land.

Sapphire Ardesh

i35.tinypic.com_2rqncr4.jpg

A very fragile 25 year old woman with grace, deep blue eyes, full lips with the color of light pink roses and a soft sun kissed tender skin. Her pitch black hair is falling straight to the middle of her back. If sunbeams reaching this shimmering mass it tends to glow in a deep dark red. The whole appearance of Sapphire causes in people the wish to protect her.

Born in the City of Andal, daughter of a soldier family with three brothers, Sapphire learned very early what it means to be a woman in Andal. Her Mother, well respected, blessed with a strong will and personality, adored from her man and family, had a high position in neighborhood. She was aiding in center of the town for the wounded warriors and citizens during battles. Sapphire was early in charge to manage the family things - and she was happy and satisfied with her life. One could say it was blessing in disguise as the slave ship on his way was entered by pirates, which render uncertain the ocean near Andal. The leader of this ship, Cyris Blackheart, was in need of some new crew members and so he offers the freed slaves the option to work as a pirate or to die. She felt like a traitorous against her family in Andal, but she wants to live, not more and not less. Nothing ventured, nothing gained - her hope was always to escape at the right moment.

Many blood she saw, many death cries she heard, her mind has to bear horror. She herself wasn’t spared the cruelties, either. The day was coming as the pirates try to board a very big merchant ship - but it was a trap - set from the royal navy in portcross. In the riot and confusion during the battle she could escape - taking a small vessel - no one payed attention in the heat of the fight.

To ashamed to return to Andal she sweared to herself to be a strong and wealth woman, with her own business and well prepared to protect herself. The past should be her secret - she needs to look forward - forward to a new future in this town far away from her home - Denshy.

Both raised fast to an important addition in the farmland districts of Denshy. Sapphires passion to this small land guides her way to lead and rule the district very soon, get the title Marquess from Duke Lathander Merinthire.

Roffgar

i8.photobucket.com_albums_a50_ninzetta_roffgarwiki.jpg

What is steel, compared to the hand which wields it?

Roffgar is a man of massive build. He stands at 7’2, and weighs around 290 pounds. A common fact among everyone, is that he is of Andalian birth; and that he is in his mid thirties. His chest and back can be seen covered with scars, likely from battles in the past. Although his muscular builds seems bulky, he is rather agile. It is -well- known that, though he appears to be bald, he actually shaves his head daily. People who outright call him bald, on those Rare occasions, have even been known to have rather large bruises on them, a few days after the incident. Judging by the way he carries himself, he can appear to be unfriendly at first glance, and potentially hostile. The tattooed image on his face is of 2 paw prints; most people could recognize them as wolf prints.

Roffgar’s Denshian past is no secret from anyone. He was a guard for about a year, then resigned for unknown reasons. He dissapeared for about 6 months afterwards. Eventually, he became a master smith, and that is what he is mostly known for these days. Most people would know that orders he receives for smithed goods are personal, and that he doesn’t accept many. He is also a master of all forms of martial arts, and the best human fighter in Eridan. It is not known if he has ever apprenticed anyone. His most well known feat of strength, is bringing down a fully grown adult drake with his bare hands. People would also know that he is devoted to the Balite religion, and even attained the rank, “Champion of Balaur”.

When in full armor, picking Roffgar out of a crowd isn’t hard at all. Most people know to look for the man atop an Andalian warhorse, using a steel plated door for a shield.

Aryx Liie

i240.photobucket.com_albums_ff134_astoc_aryx.jpg

This young, witchblooded-man, appearing to be around fifteen years of age, possesses a diminutive stature and gaunt visage that serve as a contradiction to his toned layer of muscle and otherwise youthful features. Sand-colored locks of meticulously cleaned hair conceal eyes that exhibit a brilliant shade of green. A troubled and isolated childhood have left Aryx without an important aspect of his humanity. His expressions and emotions are often forced, and those that would be appropriate to a situation are often missing. Despite these shortcomings, Aryx seems to grasp difficult concepts with incredible ease. He has made notable progress and innovations within the schools of life magic and nature magic. Aryx has recently been accepted as Baron of Denshy’s Westport.

Lares Valaeryn

img.photobucket.com_albums_v129_vampriss_fwee_lares.jpg

Lares stands at five foot three with a light build, green eyes, slightly pale skin, and black hair. He is mostly known within Denshy as a mage specializing in illusion and, at times, for being far too overenthusiastic in passing his thoughts and knowledge on to others. Yet for all his words and generally friendly, if at times inappropriate behavior, he rarely reveals much of himself as a person beyond passing thoughts, living off simple scribe’s work for some of the illiterate commoners.

Lares is also known to be a strong supporter of the Balite path, speaking with unusual conviction of his interpretation of its ideals despite, in many ways, seeming of Jeidalian nature.

Aleksandr Naphtali

i40.tinypic.com_fuxugg.jpg “He wanted to throw me in prison, but I honestly couldn’t be bothered with all that.”

Aleksandr Naphtali is easily one of the oldest (nominally) mortal magic users in Eridan. While he appears only in his late 50s, anyone who has spent time with him has heard tales of events that suggest someone much older. His once brown hair is now much more gray, and his blue eyes look tired and distant, yet his personality shows someone far more energetic and fun loving. All in all, he shows rugged good looks of someone his aging quite gracefully.

What is known of Aleksandr is quite sporadic. He first appears in public record as a member of the Mercian Priory, before being labeled as “missing, presumed dead.” He shows up again right at the time of the Shadow Wars, as a member of the Priory of Denshy, and vanishes again in the Dark Year. Most recently, he was a Master in the Spire, before vanishing again. He has been deemed a criminal on and off in both Denshy and Aurelia, he has been seen sailing with pirates, taking tea with liches and working with renegade wizards. Likewise, he has also helped the defense of Denshy many times, and has an equal number of friends in the royalty and leadership of Denshy.

At the end of the day, Aleksandr is a nice man that despite all his activities has done his best to avoid harming others and overly upsetting the balance of the world. He is viewed with suspicion by some, as an oddity by most, and mostly just left to his own adventures.

Eidan Achton

i44.tinypic.com_2h7dxs0.jpg

Lord Eidan Achton is known in Eridan as one of the most diligent, or controversial, champions of Denshy, depending on whom you ask. Having first arrived at Denshy at the age of sixteen, he was immediately taken on as a squire under the honourable Sir Maarken Calador; reputed as the most respected knight in Eridan. Lord Calador saw promise and piety in him and, alongside Kroth the ork, disciplined the young Eidan Achton in the methods of nobility, warfare and the path of Larani.

Unfortunately, a family tragedy recalled Eidan from his post in Denshy to his homeland in Medici. No one is quite sure what happened to Eidan in these few years of absence, but when he returned to Denshy he was a changed man. At the age of twenty four, he set out on a reckless lifestyle which would be tainted with scandal. In a few short years, he would become infamous as a womanizer and a man of no restraint or control. It was also in this time that he captured the attention of Lady Hillias Lairenne, niece to the Queen of Mercia. They wed, but divorced a few years later. Their marriage bore one child, Sara Achton, whom Eidan cherishes to this day.

During his tenth year of duty to Denshy, Eidan was dishonourably dismissed from service after a string of incidents involving the assault of a guardsman. At the time, his old master, Lord Maarken Calador, ruled Denshy as Regent and presided over the trial. Stripped of his title and penniless, Eidan Achton joined the mercenary group the Band of the Bear, and was instantly promoted to high rank.

At the time, Lord Calador’s rule of nobility had become vastly unpopular with the masses, leaving a vacant opportunity for an uprising, which Eidan encouraged mercenary group to seize. After threatening Lord Calador and his government, Denshy was handed over peacefully to the Band of the Bear, and Eidan Achton swiftly became Ruler of Denshy. With his nobility reinstated, Duke Eidan Achton’s rule was characterized by financial success, largely due to his appointed advisors, the Denshian Senate, and military success due to his military experience. Unfortunately, it was also plagued with scandal, involving encounters with women and the criminals he punished and attempted to reassimilate into society.

During his rule, Duke Eidan Achton had much opposition, but none quite as fierce as the Viscountess Julianne Calador, sister of Lord Maarken Calador. After months of conflict, the Duke and Viscountess Calador reconciled their differences, and he began to fall deeply in love with her. She accepted his offer of courtship, and they married shortly after. After the birth of their first child, William, Lord Eidan Achton retired as Ruler of Denshy to raise his family with Julianne in peace, leaving Duke James Darkel in control. Today, at age thirty seven, he lives in Denshy with his wife and two children, though he still offers his services to Denshy.

Sara Achton

img14.imageshack.us_img14_4419_saraachton.jpg

Sara Achton is a young girl, who has just returned to Denshy after a few years on the mainland. She still retains much of her childlike innocence and is only thirteen years old. However, she has become more firm in her beliefs since she has returned and is quite frank with her words. She is currently a lady in waiting to Duchess Cordelia Achton, her aunt.

Jadan Saati

i30.photobucket.com_albums_c334_curb193_jadanprofile.jpg

The once fabled warrior of Eridan, now aging rapidly, lives with his life long partners the Dorthorins and their children in Gildamyre. Though currently the champion of both Gildamyre and Denshy having won every recent tournament he’s entered, this man stays somewhat recluse and detaches himself from the city’s politics, only showing to either repeatedly save the day or win more tournaments. Usually seen on or close to his beastly mount Faran - who like its master often has a very grumpy and aggressive mood - with a lance to beat down even the toughest of foes, be it nocti, drake or demon with impressive ferocity and efficiency.

Jadan has been in Eridan for over 15 years now, starting his life there as a pirate with the notorious Tristram and Charr. However, despite his rough, unrefined nature, he found himself better suited to the life of a swordmaster under the command of Lord Seldorn Toiverna - whose sister is Araina Dorthorin - and until his death, Jadan served him loyally. Now serving his sister Araina, Jadan moved to Aurelia after the Shadow Wars to take charge of their armies and guard and after losing the battle for the white city against the Noyakin forces, he retired himself to Gildamyre where he has taken light duties as a guard.

Regardless of his tough, unruling attitude and hard exterior, Jadan can actually be found to have a somewhat caring and peaceful nature – but don’t tell anyone this! Besides his fierce loyalty and devotion to his friends and Eridanian family, he only possesses one major flaw to his impressive might – His undying love for cake, which has the ability to bring this man to his knees should he miss out on a dinner party or wedding at which this was served.

Also, if you think this was arrogant, you should meet the guy in game.

Naida Ili Lleorithdil

“The amount of happiness that you have depends on the amount of freedom you have in your heart.” i28.photobucket.com_albums_c229_theoathkeeper_untitled-2-2.jpg

Naida, in human form, stands at a slight height of five feet two inches tall. Her skin is a rose colored hue with purple irridescent scales delicately framing her eyes, neck, and ears. There are gills at her sides, also adorned with the iridescent scales, as well as fins protruding from her forearms and legs. Her ears themselves have an elegant, fin-like appearance. Her hair is just a small shade darker than her skin, but still a rosy color, flowing in long waves past her shoulders and spilling down her back. At most times, Naida keeps her hair adorned with a crown of flowers and other shiny treasures that she has found or has been given along the way. In contrast to her skin color, her eyes are a stunning sapphire color, seeming wide and innocent as she looks on at things with a natural sense of curiosity and a smile is almost permanently placed upon her lips, giving her a slightly childish appearance at first glance. There is a cheerful air about her at all times, as well as an unmistakable naivety. She is from Sha’thi’lar, Dam’il’thar of the Sea of Beads, where she lived with her family. Naida is the younger sister of Aduesti Ili Lleorithdil and the older sister of Elanesse Ili Lleorithdil. Unlike the two, Naida is not of the witch-blooded. However, she does possess knowledge and skill in fighting with her signature weapon, the trident.

Naida first came to Denshy in search of her brother and sister in order to bring them home to help protect their home from the attacks of the Suldan. Also, she wanted to see the world of the humans that had intrigued her brother and sister enough to stay there. Upon her arrival, Naida was instantly delighted with the strange customs of the humans and quickly befriended as many people as she could, considering everyone a friend. Though she struggled with their beliefs and customs, she was eager to learn more about them. After some time, she managed to find her brother and sister. When asked if they would return home, Aduesti agreed only if Elanesse would come along. Elanesse, sadly, appeared not to be returning as she was engaged to a human man, thus making living under water impossible. Unable to complete her task, Naida stayed in hopes that her siblings would change their minds.

Citizens of Gildamyre

Desmond Snow

:playerscontent:charprofiles:desmondavatar.jpg

“To die with a smile upon my face is the best fate I can ask for myself.”

This Agyris stands tall, somewhere around 6’4 (~1,93m), broad shouldered and with a very toned body, even more so than the usual warrior. His body reveals he’s battle-hardened, but one has only to look at his face to recognize the tender youth of this tall man. His features are, most of the time, filled with a serene, youthful innocence, his jade-green eyes betraying an honesty and naiveness unusual in Eridan. He can’t possibly be past his mid-teens.

And yet, he dresses often in the way of his people, sometimes mixing the furs and leathers with the golden platemail of a Valarian Knight. At most times, a hand-and-a-halfer bastard sword the size of most great swords is slung over his back, and a smaller sword hangs by a sheath from his belt.

In the manner of his warrior people, his ravenblack hair is braided, reaching below his waist. Hung from it are two small bells.

In Denshy, he is known as a Squire of the Neverending Dawn, a Valarian, and openly against Balaur. Small feats he is known in the streets for include the capture of the outlaw therian Saludar and the rescue of Dame Cordelia Achton from the shores of Denshwood after her ship became a wreck off the coast. He’s known throughout as a pretty down-to-earth guy with sharp wits and an uncommon sense of humility - with the exception of his skills on horseback, which he displays and boasts about shamelessly.

He is engaged to Lady Qaetlyn of the Gaeth family.

Aryia d'Marseau

Mademoiselle A. Sinclair

i29.tinypic.com_18ddg4.jpg

“Wake up, ma chère.”

* * *

She is a porcelain doll of a flawless young woman; you would swear her no older fifteen, perhaps sixteen. The pale skin of her face holding two carefully cut turquoise gems as eyes, so alive they seem beyond reality itself, and all lay framed behind lightly curled locks of blood red hair. This doll is the daughter and creation of the well known, and infamous nocti, Astoc d’Marseau.

Arcane by nature, Aryia’s art has been felt across Eridan, from the fires of the abyss to mental manipulation, destroying and recreating thoughts and memories, twisting emotions and reality; she was an architect of chaos.

Now humbled though, she has begun shaping herself into a proper lady; whether she is still alive or dead is hard to know, but time can only tell what footsteps she will leave across Eridan in the coming years.

* * *

Long live the Empire. Long live Dudurel.

Elise Delacroix

img25.imageshack.us_img25_1237_profiletuj.jpg

Rise and fall - an empire to lose
Fall and rise - a cataclysm to come
Rise and fall - the sea changed blood red
Fall and rise - for a new order

Mention of her name is found scattered in history books, often under the nom-de-plume Chrysamere, and usually connected to events that shaped Eridan in one way or another. Although it is uncommon to lay eyes on her, the years have not touched her - forever in her early twenties, dressed in old Medician court fashion, her appearence has come to be regarded by some as ill omen. Although it is known that she has fought in the Great War, playing a considerable role in recovering the scrolls of Yyv’esh and an ancient tome which allowed the ritual that banished Maguun to be performed, there are lingering rumours of her influence, from noble houses destroyed to wars averted.

Whatever may be the truth in these rumours, she seems to be someone that plays on the greater picture by her own set of rules, caring little for the day-to-day battles of the people of Eridan.

Ponce de Leon

What you don’t see, will kill you. i119.photobucket.com_albums_o151_cshaywood_jpdl.jpg

Ponce is a frail-looking man in his early 50s. He stands about 5’0” and his a certain sparkle in his eyes. Few still know who he is as he seemed to vanish shortly before the beginning of the Shadow War. Before though, he was a known Maguunite and the Denshian authorities attempted several times to execute him on their own terms. Alister even attempted his banishment into another plane, failing to note his knack for sacrificing himself. Needless to say, they didn’t even give him a chance. Now only whispers of him exist, often quickly dismissed as rumour and malcontent. Whoever this enigmatic man is, he certainly doesn’t live anymore! Not in any civilized society, at least...

Tyria Morrigan

img6.imageshack.us_img6_558_tyriamorrigan.jpg

They’d always leave...

Upon first seeing Tyria, most are astonished by her pale skin and sickly look. She stands at only about five feet tall, if that, and wears either black, or red. She generally cloaks herself, hiding her eyes and most of her face, which, if see without the hood, looks gaunt, with large dark circles under her eyes. Perhaps the oddest thing is that she rarely acts sick, instead grinning a large white smile, that can be rather unsettling to those who don’t know her. Those who do know her say that she has a “joy” about her, although this too can quickly turn into a deep depression, where the girl becomes nearly comatose. She seems to be in her late teens, and is a known follower of the Balite faith. She has currently returned from the mainland after being made a Balite priestess there and works mainly at helping uphold the Balite faith in Eridan. Her past jailings and odd nature has made it hard for her to fit in anywhere, so instead she moves from place to place, never staying long in any one city.

Accursed

Very few accursed actually exist in game; this category namely exists as a log book for ‘Undying’ such as Sonen, Nicholas Durai, and generally demons. Very few player characters ever would fall under this category due to the rare nature of being accursed. Which is denied escape from Terra, usually as a spirit or being a demon.

Fallen Champions

While the majority of people would assume a champion denotes a hero; this would also be for notable villains who are now passed on.

Evans Reynard

i44.tinypic.com_2euicmf.jpg

Born in the farmlands to the North of Mercia in the first quarter of this century, Evans experienced the first years of his life in servitude, working the fields with his father. But he would become known in Denshy. Taken under Father Tristan DeLeon’s wing at the tender age of sixteen, he quickly grew, through skill and faith in Larani, to Master Yeoman of the Order of Larani in Denshy. Not only did he become Tristan’s favorite, but his victory at the Joust of Alamire and, more than anything, the light that would soon come to emmit from him, stirred the rumour that he had indeed been Chosen by the Goddess Larani herself.

In Denshy, he also encountered Elise, the sister he had barely known. Their stories entwined in several circumstances, and despite their schism over time, it is said that she was the only person he spoke with on his way out of everyone’s life. With the exception of the one to whom he offered his prized Krothlance, the Ancient Wyrmtooth.

But in every hero’s tale, there is a fall. And his happened at the hands of his dearly beloved, Sansa Reinhold, to whom he became engaged on the snows of Culhaven, and whose yet-unborn son he had aided in saving from the clutches of the Lorilee. Her former husband, the adulterous scoundrel Ryker Xi, returned while Evans was absent on duty, leaving behind a bloody trail as he turned the couple’s home into a slaughterhouse.

Only time healed the wounds, so deep that they forever scarred him. Soon after, for services do Denshy and to the Crown of Mercia, he was knighted Sir Evans Reynard by Alister Guinan, and appointed Commander of the Guard of Denshy as Rowan Cavedale’s successor.

Destiny again played a trick on him, as Nicholas Durai, Avatar of Maguun, as a tribute to Evans’ friendship to him prior to the War, brought back the image of Sansa - a demon with her shape, her personality, her memories. He was grateful for this gift, as short-lasting as it was; the moments they spent together were of bliss even during the War, and of their matrimony a daughter was born - Dawn Reynard. Sansa Reynard’s memory would eventually be put to eternal rest.

The story of Evans Reynard’s deeds in the following years is in line with that of the Shadow War. He led Denshy’s hosts against Larani’s Blessing when the demons had taken it over, as well as in the timed defense of the city as the Priory prepared to cast the Great Demon Maguun away from the realm of Terra.

He married again, into the House of his former Master Knight, by taking Julianne Calador’s hand. The children they had together are today amongst the Heirs of House Calador. Evans Reynard left Eridan few years after the Shadow War, leaving behind a land where men like him had no place anymore. His fate is uncertain to this day. Some said he sought and found Sansa Reynard beyond the Outer Chaos, after travelling through untravelled paths. Others whisper that his sacrifice finally led him to a fair end, and that he now resides amongst the Brave, in Yashain.

Astoc d'Marseau

i240.photobucket.com_albums_ff134_astoc_stoc.jpg

I welcome their hostility.

The nocti, Astoc d’Marseau, stands well above the height of an average human with a thin yet muscular frame. Some would estimate him to be at least thirty years of age, but his flawless and youthful features suggest no more than twenty. He has passed through numerous phases and trials since his turning and has only recently begun to find a balance within his existence. Despite whatever his disposition may be, Astoc’s name is often associated with the brutal murders of countless sentient beings throughout Eridan.

James Darkel

i119.photobucket.com_albums_o151_cshaywood_djfd.jpg

Into the darkness, Valar’s light guides.

James is a stalwart man in his late 30s. He stands about 6’2” and keeps a back straight as a spear. Well known as the Duke of Denshy, his actions have brought both good and bad attention. Despite this none can say that he doesn’t stick to his convictions. Besides being a prominent ruler in Eridan, he has also taken up the mantle as a religious leader in favor of Valar. He is rarely seen dressing too extravagantly unless the event calls for it, and can often be found eating a meal of bread and water in the Sunrise Tavern. More info can be found here and here

Dead or Missing

This section is for characters who have died but don’t quite fit in the “Fallen Champions” section, and also for people who are missing or no longer live in Eridan.

Sol Rahl

A scholar is a man who realizes the experience and knowledge gained is more valuable than any riches or notoriety that could be gained during the quest for knowledge.

Sol is a enigmatic man that is guessed to be in his late thirties or early forties; no one is quite certain. Sol stands at about 6’1 He has seen a good many wars and even more battles; due to his uncertain and naive nature earlier in life and his family’s history he gained the reputation as a villain and a tratior.

Sol would be able to be commonly remembered by older Denshians as a member of a family of necromancers, as well as a former Sacred Knight of the Laranian church; fighting alongside Maarken, Seldorn, Evans, and Phillip Thorne.

To those arriving after the shadow war, it would likely only be known that Sol sympathized with and supported New Zeal during it’s formation and fought against Denshy in three battles to date; twice at Denshy and once at the Truncheon. Sol has no standing records of ever fighting within Aurelia as an enemy, but rather two accounts of warding off Ghoula or Undead, aiding in the founding, and also aiding to fend off the Noyakin.

It can be recorded he was once known as Aurion Elyndir, only to be exposed by the Mage Zalm and then dragged into fulfilling his word of honor to not make vulnerable his friends when he told Zalm the location of Na’kruls phylacetary; although Zalm never managed to obtain it Sol was still manipulated into battling Denshy again at this time.

The strangest seeming shift in loyalty after Sol’s identity as Aurion was exposed; was when he would attempt to best the Sleeper Amun in Miraj to determine if Sol would have to avoid the war, or Amun surrender the city back to Denshy. Sol losing the battle while attempting to wait outside Denshy with his vessel as a escape route resulted in him being accused of being cold hearted and lowly, despite attempts to explain the situation.

A majority of the reasons for his shifts in loyalty throughout the years remain a mystery to a majority of the continent; it is a common assumption that this man shows up to battles and wars solely because he enjoys battle; yet strangely enough, there are no records to date of him killing his opponent in a duel, even in situations where it was noted prior the opponent wished to kill Sol.

Sol’s well known worship lies in the Path of Power, although it is known he was excommunicated by the church he continues the practice pursuing the never ending quest for knowledge, strength, and self betterment. Oddly enough, he has never killed another Balite either; it is known he attempted to turn the once vile Heartstone into a Monastary only for it to end up destroyed under the guise that he was operating a blood thirsty cult.

Sol’s current whereabouts, motives, and activities are unknown.

Arianna Guinan-Locke

Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart.

In her early twenties, Lady Arianna Locke stands a delicate, petite 5’2, in tightly corseted, expensive gowns which hold her diminutive waist to a mere 16-inches. Without explanation and with no apologies she has once again taken root in her beloved Aurelia, near her “family”, and settled in with a woodsman by the name of Ruryk Xiyal. Having been left the family land by her cousin, Lord Austin Guinan, Arianna can be seen shifting back and forth between Críoch Guinan and Aurelia, taking care of business. She keeps to herself, recently, and appears to have abandoned all interest in political and social demands. The rare times she is seen out is generally by herself, either on a venture towards medicine or midwifery - or with her eyes flaming like lava, the white-hot light of purity of purpose searing from her entire aura, in an attempt to protect the land and people she loves from the foulness which continually attempts to destroy them all.

Lathander Merinthire

Freedom is just another word for “nothing left to lose”.

Of foppish mannerism and structure, Lathander Merinthire is a spaghetti-limbed gentleman of five foot, eleven inches in height. He is muscled enough that tone can be seen, but genetically not the sort to ever be predisposed to being “bulky” and as such is on the lighter side of frame size.

In recent months Lathander has undergone a remarkable change. Firey red hairs hit his shoulders, his chin is held high, but most of all, his skin is free of blemish. Freckled, though, and of the sort of complexion that looks like it might easily (and ironically) catch sunburn. Beyond this he is handsome faced and somewhat square jawed, with a curve in his nose and a general appearance that becomes one who is stuck in a continuous internal laughter - eternally bemused. Whether or not this is a joyous laughter cannot be told.

His sense of style has not changed; Lathander is ever one to make a statement with his sense of style and seems to particularly lean towards wearing vibrant pinks or the wine red of his Balite faith. He also has a penchant for frills.

Publicly, he is known as a tailor, a performer and actor, and the Oracle of Balaur. He can often be seen tending to and speaking at the Balite shrine within Denshy, to his store in the Market, or enjoying a drink and a good book by the fire in the Sunrise Tavern. On rare occasions, a stammer can be heard in Lathander’s tone. On less rare occasions, he has a bad habit of flapping his hands when excited.

Nafeyr Sednaali

i491.photobucket.com_albums_rr275_rjg0519_naf.jpg

Nafeyr is a young Ya’fiah who left the Miraj at the age of 14. His triblet sent him out to hunt for food with a few of the older hunters, one of which was his brother. Being the only survivor of the hunting group after a ghoula attack, this was viewed as a sigh from Azl that Nafeyr was meant to become a warrior. Nafeyr left the Miraj in search of the greatest warriors in Eridan so he could learn the arts of war and unite his people in the city of Miraj once more, and free them from the torment of the ghoula.

Nafeyr is an abnormally large young boy, standing at around 6 feet tall. His body is tanned from the desert sun, and toned from constant training while wearing heavyweight armors and wielding as heavy a weapon as he can lift. Though rather large, he is also very fast and in this he takes pride. He was the best brawler in his triblet, and aspires to be the best brawler, and warrior in Eridan. He follows the Ya’fiah faith just as any other Ya’fiah would. Sometimes naive to the ways and cultures of ‘the pale man’ Nafeyr still usually remains pleasant, always willing to learn and to teach.
