Warrior

A warrior is someone strictly trained in the ways of combat, one who excells in all aspects of it rather than a single skill as perhaps a ranger or rogue might. You may find a warrior quite boring to play if you dont take a greater variety of skills. But, if you love to play a pure brute, here is a sample build.

Stats

  • Strength: 100
  • Intelligence: 50
  • Dexterity: 100

  • Anatomy 90
  • Animal Handling 90
  • Archery 55
  • Critical Strike 90
  • Blackmsithy 55
  • Dodge 90
  • *Fencing 70
  • Healing 75
  • *Macefighting 70
  • Parry 90
  • Search 75
  • *Swordsmanship 70
  • Tactics 90
  • Unarmed Combat 55

What to do Next

Build Points Left: 1197

* - Increase your primary attack skill to 90. If you don’t intend to use fencing weapons that often, setting a cap of 70 (75 after the int bonus), you’ll be equiped still with decent defenses against anyone using a fencing weapon against you.

Other skills you might take depending on your character’s background: leadership, diplomacy, poisoning, or even a craft skill or two. With the above build, you have a lot of choices left. Take some time to look at other skills and let your character expand beyond just combat.

Backgrounds

At this point, you really should have an idea about what your character is going to be. Backgrounds are something very personal that shouldn’t be described in a guide. They should fit your character, not an ultimate build. Give yourself flaws, give yourself talents. Backgrounds are something you should roleplay, not just take.

Note however, to be a truely successful warrior, you should look into taking some of the more combat orientated backgrounds: resislant, fast reflexes, explosive, very quick, very strong, energetic, fast healer, and/or large. Always pick the backgrounds that fit your character. If you’re playing a four foot nothing wimp with no arms, then clearly large, explosive, and very strong would not fit your character.
