Facets of Wisdom

The Facets of Wisdom are the virtues upheld by Jeidali and the Saints, those aspects that a man must stress in his life to ascend into the realm of Yashain. Similar to a scientific code, any follower of Jeidali must place the Facets of Wisdom at the center of their daily life.

Sapientia (Enlightenment)

Enlightenment is the guiding principle of the Path of Wisdom. One must seek to understand the world and all its workings before the glory of the heavens is revealed upon them. Like a tapestry, Jeidali knows the answer to the universe and how man will come upon it. His many tests that face men are the threads of the tapestry and it is the goal of the Path of Wisdom to glimpse this tapestry and understand the weave He has created. It is the task then of wise men to help others glimmer this path and help others on the route to salvation. Ultimately, those of the Path of Wisdom feel it is truth that will set your soul free, not a blade.

Aequus (Balance)

Balance is the most important facet after Enlightenment. Salvation comes through balancing the forces of ones life, to achieve stability between all actions. The perfect counselor is one who has both a heavy and soft hand. In conflict then, a wise man should not bias himself towards his friends, but stand back and view the conflict form all angles. Without balance one cannot observe, and without observation one cannot reach enlightenment. To sway from the path of balance is to cast yourself from the Path of Wisdom.

Scientia Divinitus (Divine Knowledge)

From the thoughts of Jeidali is divine knowledge, that which cannot be known except to He. How the universe was created, how paradise will again return or be swallowed by evil, these are fractions of the Divine Knowledge. One should not dwell long on these questions for they are in the domain of Jeidali and can never be known to mortals. In strange times He may let us see but a fraction of these great truths. To do so, know that you are blessed.

Scientia Orbis (Worldly Knowledge)

From the minds of those that follow the Path of Wisdom comes Worldly Knowledge – all that exists that can be known but need be discovered. Without this knowledge the world cannot grow and prosper, yet tread carefully in the domain of the knowledge He grants for even it may be abused. Thus one must balance both the pursuit of His wisdom and the uses of it for fear that one unknowingly strays from the Path of Wisdom and enters into the domain of the Fallen.

Artesia (Artistry)

In all creation there is an underlying beauty and order. Comfort then in knowing one follows the Path correctly when the solutions they find are simple and flow like threads into all other solutions. Just as He is the great artist of the understanding, so should a follower of the Path be an artist, a musician, and a muse. As one may find enlightenment through study and meditation so can one find enlightenment through the beauty of words and sounds. The poet, the painter, and the sculptor – all are held in His high regard on the Path of Wisdom for they see the inner beauty of creations and present it for the entire world to see that harmony and paradise soon return.
